This article will explain how to run a process. The term “running a process” means to execute all steps from first step to the last step of the process.
You will want to run a process when you are developing it, to test if it functions end-to-end as you expect. You will also want to run the process end to perform the business functions you have to design this process for.
The simplest way to run a process is via the "Run" tab in the Ribbon bar - Run > Run this process:
1. After clicking run (as per above), you should see the following screen:
If you want to execute the process as a snapshot ("process-run"), check the box shown above (learn more).
2. Click the run button. You should see the steps begin to execute:
The icon beside each step indicates its status:
You should also see a summary of your run at the bottom of the screen:
3. A run has completed after all steps have finished (status of "Completed successfully", "Completed with warnings", "Failed" or "Skipped").
