There are times you would like end users to not be able to interact/see certain data step properties, as they may be input data that are not meant to be changed for example.
And so, you would hide a data step property.
Hiding a data step property
In this example, we'll be hiding the following "Data Storage" data step property.
You can do this by editing the relevant data step that contains this property.
This should lead you to a view of all the data step properties in the data step.
Click on the relevant data step property that you wish to hide and scroll down in the "Property details" pane to the "Advanced" section until you see the "Visible" field.
A ticked box implies that the property can be seen by end users (this is the default).
Otherwise, an unticked box will mean the end user will not be able to see the data step property.
The data step will now look like this:
Once a data step property contains a hidden data step property, it can only be visible when editing the data step.
