The "Refresh pivot tables" instruction is a simple instruction to refresh a pivot table in an Excel workbook to the latest data in the table's source data range.
In Microsoft Excel, refreshing the workbook by pressing F9 does not actually refresh pivot tables. Only the formulas and graphs are refreshed when doing so. In order to update the data fed into pivot tables, you will instead have to click on the pivot table and "Analyze" and find the "Refresh" button.
However, there is an easy alternative in SolveXia, with its own in-built "Refresh pivot tables" instruction.
Using the step
This instruction can be configured quite easily by linking to the relevant workbook.
Once run, all pivot tables in the workbook will then be updated to the latest data in their configured source data range.
