Instructions can be modified using the Manipulate Data step type. The following guide will walk you through the basics of configuring instructions, such as selecting, adding, deleting, copying, ordering, renaming and disabling/enabling instructions.
Selecting an instruction
Click on the "Select instruction type" button to open the list of all instructions.
Now you can either search instruction by name or click on show more to open the advanced instruction selector:
Search by name
Start typing the name of the instruction you are looking for, e.g. copy cell, the list will be filtered to the instructions that match this criterion.
Advanced instruction selector
After clicking on "Show more", the advanced step selector opens. This will allow you to filter instructions by data type. For example, click on Excel to see all instructions that work with Excel, or click on Excel and Table to see all instructions that work with both file types.
Configuring multiple instructions in one step
It is possible to configure multiple instructions in one step. The order these instructions will be executed is based on the order the instructions appear, i.e. top instruction will be executed first, whereas bottom instruction will be executed last.
To add a new instruction click on the plus icon:
To copy an instruction click on copy-paste icon:
To move an instruction click on the move up/down icons:
You can also move an instruction by dragging it by the select instruction icon:
To rename an instruction, update the name on the top left part of the instruction box.
To delete an instruction click on the delete icon:
Disable/Enable
The "Enabled" box ensures that the instruction is executed when the step is run; when disabled, the instruction is skipped:
